Get to know me
Lucia Carbutti — Currently finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Milano-Bicocca (graduating July 2026), I am deeply immersed in the intersection of software engineering and intelligent systems.
My academic journey led me to join LINTAR (Laboratory of Informatics, Networks, and Advanced Robotics), where I focus on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence. My work focuses on the intersection of territorial data, complex simulations, and AI. For my final thesis, I am developing advanced integration techniques between GIS (QGIS), Agent-Based Modeling (NetLogo) and LLMs. I am particularly fascinated by Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision, exploring how machine learning models can interpret and interact with the complexity of the real world.
My next step is a Master’s degree specializing in Artificial Intelligence. I am driven by the challenge of building scalable, ethical, and efficient AI solutions that solve tangible problems.
Beyond the code, I am a firm believer in the power of collaborative intelligence. Working within a research lab has sharpened my ability to solve problems within a team, communicate complex technical ideas, and adapt quickly to new frameworks. I thrive in environments that value continuous learning, proactive contribution, and a "get things done" mindset.
